21 Futures Announces Strategic Partnership with Vexl

21 Futures and Vexl are announcing a strategic partnership to promote cypherpunk stories and non-KYC Bitcoin.

The 21 Futures brand first appeared in 2023 with the launch of the world’s first bitcoin fiction anthology — Tales from the Timechain. The project has since grown into a multimedia brand, seeing 50+ authors publishing freedom-themed stories across print, online, audio and animation.

Vexl is a mobile app giving its users a simple, accessible and safe way to trade bitcoin as it was intended — peer-to-peer and without KYC. It is free to use and is funded by the Vexl Foundation (part of SatoshiLabs). The Vexl app and services do not store user data or serve advertisements.

The partnership will see 21 Futures feature news, information, and stories from Vexl across their site and socials.

Editor Philip Charter offered his thoughts on the deal:

Vexl launched in 2022, providing a simple, inclusive, secure, and private platform for peer-to-peer BTC transactions without the need for KYC procedures. The app maintains a secure and private platform by not accessing any information about user activities or identities, which sets it apart from traditional platforms.

In addition to social media promotion, Vexl will publish cypherpunk and privacy-tech stories, hand-picked from the 21 Futures back catalogue, on its blog.
