INTERVIEW - Satillionaire, visual storyteller

February 17, 20251 min read

When did you start writing?

I started dabbling in fiction during college, focusing mainly on movies but occasionally writing short stories.

What attracted you to the cypherpunk and sci-fi genre?

A distant dystopian future feels like the perfect metaphor for life as we know it today.

Tell us more about your writing style.

I gravitate toward short stories. I like to set my narratives within a tight 24-28 hour timeframe, focusing on a small cast of characters. I aim to weave a clear external conflict with an equally compelling internal struggle for the main characters.

What do you like to read? Who are your idols?

I read a lot of non-fiction, but my taste in fiction is pretty straightforward—I just want something I can’t put down. Recently, I’ve been diving into Michael Crichton’s books. He’s a master at blending compelling characters with science, technology, and suspense.

How did you discover 21F? Why did you submit?

I stumbled upon a Twitter post about 21F and was immediately drawn to the idea of exploring the intersection of Bitcoin and fiction.

What's the future of cypherpunk and Bitcoin fiction?

Bitcoin gives us a glimpse of what’s possible when human potential is fully unleashed. It’s a transformative idea with implications across nearly every facet of society. Fiction can help us unpack these big ideas and dream boldly about what the future might hold.

What are you working on now?

I run a daily video contest on Nostr called BullishBounty. You can check it out at BullishBounty.nip-05.com or BullishBounty.com.

Where can people find you online?

I’m @Satillionaire21 on X and Satillionaire.nip-05.com on Nostr.

Any final words?
